Energy Engine, the market-leading e-commerce solution provider, based in Stroudsburg, PA, today announced the advancement of Mark Stillman to the new role of Chief Operating Officer. Stillman, a founding partner of the Energy Engine, and president of sister company Energy Edge Advisory Group will now assume the role of COO at Energy Engine.

Mark will leverage his skills in launching, running, and scaling software companies, as well as deep fuel industry experience, to shepherd Energy Engine into its next phase.

“As we have grown up as a company, there is greater emphasis needed on strategic decisions and complex daily operations,” says John Vrabel, CEO of Energy Engine. “Mark is custom-made to take this business where we need to go next.”

In his expanded role, Mark now assumes responsibility for Engine‘s daily operations including client services, internal IT development & operations, cloud-based infrastructure resources, Engine sales, and the company’s ongoing strategic development initiatives.

The Energy Engine is an innovative e-commerce system designed specifically for oil and propane dealers that allows them to offer an “Amazon type” online experience for fuel customers.  As digital expectations from consumers have increased, the need for robust customer-facing technology that matches what they use elsewhere has emerged.  While the fuel industry has been slow to adapt to this shift, the tide is now turning. “The industry seemed to have an epiphany overnight,” Vrabel said.

Vrabel goes on to say that “fuel dealers have told us that their customer-facing technology and online “shopping” tools are outdated and fall short of consumer expectations. Mark’s keen insight into consumer behavior and fuel dealer operations will play a pivotal role in Energy Engine’s continued product development, technology infrastructure, and market expansion.
